“Chamber Music is the basis of all music.” -Isaac Stern

We welcome strings, woodwinds and pianists of all ages and abilities.

We all have fond memories of learning to play chamber music starting at a young age. We made good friends with our fellow musicians. Our mentors provided inspiration that has lasted a lifetime.

We have been teaching private lessons and coaching chamber music for many years. In the summer of 2015 we decided to offer a chamber music program, which has developed into year-round coaching sessions and concerts.

Jimmée Greco

Clarinet

Jimmée Greco believes in the importance of teaching the student first, then the subject. This guiding principle informs every session she coaches with the Palo Alto School of Chamber Music. She strives to bring out the best in her students with encouragement and positive feedback–and to make playing music fun. Jimmée’s philosophy is that music is a beautiful gift artists give to the world, and we ALL are artists.

Jimmée maintains an active orchestral freelancing career, including performing with the Sacramento Philharmonic, the Carmel Bach Festival, the Peninsula Symphony, the Palo Alto Philharmonic, and the chamber group Master Symphonia. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, as a clarinet performance major. Her major musical influences have been her teachers: David Breeden (former principal, San Francisco Symphony); Gary Gray (former principal, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and Grammy nominee); Ginger Kroft (principal, Sacramento Philharmonic); and Jerome Simas (principal bass clarinetist, San Francisco Symphony).
